♫ Throwback Thursday Evening Mix Part 1 Presented by @3rdStreetJazz

During this evening's session, I'm taking you back to a time when Jazz was played on your local R&B Radio Stations. Groups like the Crusaders and artists like Ronnie Laws, George Duke, Ramsey Lewis and Herbie Hancock were in everyone's conversation. I love Thursdays because of social media; we have designated it as the "take us back" day.

I awoke this morning listening to Herbie Hancock's V.S.O.P. Hearing it took me back to 1978 when I purchased the album. I though about creating a mix surrounded by that album, but  decided to get a little more electric and funkier.

Tonight's session features music from Donald Byrd, Bobbi Humphrey, Norman Connors, Ronnie Laws, Roy Ayers and many more. Hope you enjoy and PLEASE share and leave a comment.
