Miguel Zenon and Esta Plena, Melody Gardot, George Benson, the Rippingtons, Bernie Williams Band, Stanley Clark Band featuring Hiromi, Big James and the Chicago Playboys, Lizz Wright, Harry Connick Jr., Janiva Magness, Otis Taylor and Chick Corea with his Freedom Band are just some of the artists that you can see perform this weekend!

In addition to the musicians mentioned above, you'll be able to see Patti Austin, Anat Cohen, Tia Fuller, Helen Sung, DIVA jazz orchestra, et al. at the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz Annual Jazz Festival in Harrisburg, PA.

The Annual Playboy Jazz Festival lineup includes Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller featuring Christian Scott, Kurt Elling, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Salif Keita, The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Bobby Hutcherson and the Cedar Walton Quartet and others.

JAM 2010: 156 Artists for a New Jazz Experience (Part I)

There are hundreds and hundreds of jazz musicians & singers around - creating, touring, enriching people's lives with their music.

My contribution to the celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month is this ongoing list. It was made during a couple of sessions of free association. I thought of one artist which made me think of someone else. 

It is my hope that everyone will be able to find an artist, a style, a video or a backstory that resonates with them.
